Pavana dam near pune part 1

Greetings.....

Pavana dam - source of water to the pimpri chinchwad area. God gifted this area by Pawana dam. Without this Pawna dam pcmc has no water and zero value.

Pawana dam is one of the excellent place for one day outing. It is surrounded by the forts like Lohgad, Tikona, Tung and Visapur which will add beauty to it. During raily season most of the people visited this spot. To reach to the dam you have take old mumbai pune highway & at Kamshet you have to take left turn from main highway it is around 17 km far. There is a small board written like pawana nagar.

Near this dam there is a Baba Maharaj Satarkar math. Its also good place to visit. You will get your lunch as a mahaprasad there between 12 to 2 pm. Also there are rooms in math where you can stay with very minimum Charges.

We enjoyed a lot with water on Pavana dam. There is a one water touch resort/ hotel at pavana dam.

Lohadad Boat club and Restaurant - A dam side resort

You can enjoy boating , water sports here. Also there is a i-land in the dam which attracts everybodies mind. Lots of Film advertising shootings are going near by this area. Also there is a Hadashi temple about 15km from this dam.
